ACIG Experts Take Part in Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum

IV Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum “Russia. Armenia. The Eurasian Economic Union. New prospects of Interregional Cooperation” was held on November 2-3, in Yerevan. Members of the Federal Assembly of Russia and federal agencies, members of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Armenia and heads of regions of both states took part in this event. ACIG experts joined the participants during the business program.

Speakers focused on deepening of cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the fields of energy, tourism, work with youth and other issues related to integration processes in CIS. 

This is the first Forum since Armenia entered the Eurasian Economic Union. According to Valentina Matviyenko, Chair of the Federation Council, integration offers new opportunities of balanced accelerated development to both countries. Today about 70 Russian federal subjects and all administrative units of Armenia are involved in this bilateral cooperation. Legal base was created with a view of regional interaction; the required organizational mechanisms were made. Moreover, diversified humanitarian cooperation between two countries has been established.
